An enormous anchor made me very happy. Plus no cars for three days! A town where everyone gets around by foot or boat. I saw kids get picked up after school in small motor boats.
I visited the Peggy Gugenhiem museum which is in her former home. She was so glamorous! Great photos on exhibit of her in the house or sunbathing on the terrace where you see me. In her bedroom she had all her earrings hung on the walls and a beautiful silver wire sculpture over the bed by Calder.

I loved Venice, I’m glad I finally made it there. It is so crazy that they built that town on the water and that it may disappear one day. It’s very touristic but you can get away in the little streets away from the Square St Marc to enjoy some peaceful moments. Venice is a floating jewel.
