Here’s the new fabric that I created for Le Boudoir de Marie
It’s based on a typically french fabric called Toile de Jouy. There is a museum in the suburbs of Paris that you can visit to learn more of it’s history. Musée de la Toile de Jouy.
We did the shooting at my friend’s Paris Tiki bar Le Tiki Lounge. The lovely model is Mimi de Montmartre. Thanks for looking!
I got my hair quite high the other day. But I’ve got nothing on this sweet lass from gone by days… Still working on “higher the hair the closer to God”.
A lovely messy bouffant on Bridget Bardot.
The Ronnettes! The originators of the east coast/girl gang look, lots of black eyeliner and a huge beehive.
I’ve been playing around lately with the kiss curl. Do you know what it’s called in french? Accroche coeur, “hook your heart”. So cute!
Do you think a good hair day can bring you luck? I hope so, last week my hair was doing some cool and crazy stuff and it was the day I had an interview to become a french citizen. Fingers crossed!
A little figurine in my collection with a lovely and very high blue beehive. It may make you think of Marge Simpson.
Thanks to a reader I found out more about the mysterious lady with big hair. She’s Laya Raki german actress/dancer born to circus parents.
Who is this lady? I don’t know but she’s cool. Check the headline “La Folie du Rock” that means crazy for rock.
1. Norton Bag, 2. Esquerita, 3. esquerita%20vint%20voola, 4. ESQUERITA WHO PUT THE POMP?, 5. I love big hair, 6. esquerita pops!, 7. esquerita smokes, 8. Esquerita!, 9. Esquerita
Do you know Esquerita? Little Richard copied all his outrageousness but had more success, maybe LR was a little more tamed down for the general public. Anyhow he gets a “Higher the Hair the Closer to God” award.
